Terms and Conditions

New Clients – First Appointment

Your first consultation will be approximately 90 minutes. During this time your practitioner will take notes about your health history, suggest the appropriate lab tests you should order to address your specific health concerns and make some recommendations for you regarding diet, rest, exercise and stress reduction. If prior to the appointment we determine that our services are not appropriate for you, we have discretion to cancel your appointment and provide a full refund.

Payments and Fee Schedule

Appointment fees are as outlined on the website (https://bellalindemann.com/workwithus/) and are current as at the time of booking.

Payment is due at the time of booking via one of the following payment methods: Visa, MasterCard or PayPal

If you sign up to a monthly follow-up subscription, you give us permission to automatically charge your credit card or debit card as payment for your monthly support without any additional authorisation, and you will receive an electronic receipt.

Appointments

Follow-up consultations may be scheduled in 40-minutes and Results Session for 60-minute blocks of time.

We encourage you to book your appointment 1-2 weeks in advance.

As a courtesy to you, you will receive an appointment reminder via email.

Lab Tests

We receive your lab results 1-2 weeks after the lab has received your samples.

We will evaluate the results, then after evaluation, you will be contacted to schedule a Results & Recommendations consultation.

You will only receive your test results during a Results & Recommendations consultation.

Rescheduling by Provider

If we need to reschedule your appointment, we will endeavour to provide as much notice as reasonably possible and require you to select an alternative appointment time. If you decide to not reschedule, the Cancellations and Refunds policy will apply.

Rescheduling by Client

For Initial Consultations, you may request to reschedule your appointment date and time a minimum of one week prior to your appointment.

For all other appointment types, if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, you can reschedule your appointment via the online booking tool at any time up until 48 hours before your appointment without charge.  If you fail to reschedule your appointment within the required notice period, the Cancellations and Refunds policy will apply. No ‘last minute’ cancellation or rescheduling options are available. Any rescheduled appointments or credit must be used within three months of the original appointment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment and do not wish to reschedule, you must cancel your appointment via the online booking tool or notify us via email a minimum of 48 hours before your scheduled appointment time to receive a full refund, minus any admin and transaction fees (One week for Initial Consultations, as above).  If you fail to cancel your appointment with the required notice, you will forfeit your booked appointment and any cost already incurred and will not be eligible for a refund.

The transaction fee charged by PayPal and Stripe to The Functional Gut Health Clinic by Bella Lindemann (~4%) is non-refundable. An admin fee of $25 per cancellation for Initial Consultations is also non-refundable.

Where a consultation has been completed with a practitioner, no refunds are available under any circumstances.

For clients on a monthly support plan (legacy subscription or package), these services are strictly available for the duration purchased. These services are no longer available and the clinic will not extend the validity of already expired support plans or offer refunds for unused appointments.

Online Course Refunds

All online courses created or hosted by The Functional Gut Health Clinic by Bella Lindemann on any platform are non-refundable once purchased and accessed. The product is deemed to be consumed once any lecture video or handout has been viewed. Where duplicate transactions have been made, a refund will be available on request, less a non-refundable 5% transaction fee charged by the credit card processor per transaction.

Missed appointments

For all bookings, missed appointments will result in forfeiting your booked appointment and any cost already incurred and will not be eligible for a refund.

Preparation for appointment

Technology – General

It is your responsibility to:

  • set up technology and ensure all appliances are charged and in working order;

  • set up the applications required on your phone or laptop to complete the consultation

  • ensure you have a reliable and sufficient internet or phone connection or reception

  • ensure any other technology related requirements (hardware or software) are available and in working order prior to the appointment

Failure to follow these instructions may result in forfeiture of your appointment time and fee.

Technology – Skype Appointments (both Australian Domestic and International)

If you select Skype as the method of communication for your appointment(s), it is your responsibility to ensure it is downloaded and tested prior to your appointment(s).  You must ensure your Privacy settings are such that we are able to contact you and send you a contact request.  You can expect a Skype contact request no later than 48 hours prior to the appointment or within 12 hours of your booking, whichever is latest.  It is your responsibility to ensure you accept the Skype contact request. Failure to follow these instructions may result in forfeiture of your appointment time and fee.

Intake forms

Should are required to complete your consultation documents or other requested documents within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, we will not be able to proceed with your appointment and you will need to reschedule.  If so, the Rescheduling by Client and Cancellations and Refunds policies will apply.

Time Zone Differences

All appointments are made and will transpire using the Australian Eastern Time Zone (UTC +10:00). If you do not reside in this time zone, it is your responsibility to ensure you select the correct time zone in the booking tool and accurately convert the time change so as to not miss your appointment(s). http://www.timeanddate.com/  Failure to ensure an accurate time zone conversion will result in forfeiture of your appointment time and fee.

Inappropriate Behavior Towards Practitioners
We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior directed towards our practitioners. The Functional Gut Health Clinic by Bella Lindemann will not tolerate any action that violates the professional boundaries and ethical norms that are generally understood in a healthcare setting. Such behavior includes, but is not limited to, harassment, bullying, verbal abuse, and the sharing of inappropriate or explicit images that cause our practitioners to feel uncomfortable or unsafe in their working environment. Clients found in violation of this policy may have their services terminated immediately at the discretion of clinic management.

Governing Law

The validity, interpretation and construction of this Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia with the sole jurisdiction and venue of any dispute being Brisbane, Queensland. The Client further agrees to be bound by the laws in Queensland even if the country’s laws in which the Client resides are in conflict with the laws of Queensland in accordance with the Hague Act and related statutes.

These terms and conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy as well as the Informed Consent and Disclaimer signed before becoming a Client.
