Why a Paleo Meal Plan? Well, we know that healing our gut through diet is an important first step to overcoming IBS and many other health complaints. What we put in our mouth everyday has a direct impact on the health of our G.I. tract and our ability to heal and repair.
Beyond the hype and fad-type coverage you see in the media, the PALEO DIET has been shown to be a very effective dietary approach for gut healing and managing IBS symptoms. For this reason, it is often the first-line diet of choice for my clients. I like it because it excludes all of the processed foods and big allergens (e.g. dairy and grains) as well as encourages eating lots of real, whole foods. An awesome foundation for gut healing.
If you’re not sure whether a paleo diet is right for your gut healing protocol, check out this post on Eating for IBS: How to Choose the Best Diet for You, which covers the 5 most common diets I use with clients.
